Honourary Chair 2023
VetHealth Global has announced Sébastien Huron, CEO of Virbac, as the 2023 Honourary Chair of the premier international animal health and nutrition conference to be held from June 26-28 in Charlottetown, PEI.
A graduate of the Toulouse veterinarian school, with more than 25 years in leadership roles in the industry, Sébastien Huron has an excellent understanding of the animal health market’s challenges at the international level. He started his career in 1994 in Brazil in the Hoechst-Roussel group where he rapidly rose to become the Marketing director of the animal health division. After Intervet acquired this division (Akzo Nobel group), which was then integrated into the Merck Group, he pursued his career in 2000 in the United States as Market Development director, and then as director of the Pet division. After rejoining the Virbac group in 2006 as the general manager of the Spanish subsidiary, he then became the director of the European region in 2008, and then head of Global Business Operations in 2013. He has been part of the Virbac executive board since December 2012. He was appointed as chairman of the Virbac group’s executive board in December 2017 then named in Chief Executive Officer of the Virbac group in December 2020.

Mr. Huron joins a long list of veteran industry leaders who have served as Honourary Chair of VHG since its inception in 2007, including Jeff Simmons, Dr. George Gunn, Dr. Brendan Fox, Clint Lewis, Dr. Peter H. Jones, Rick DeLuca, and George Heidgerken.
